![]() The price of gasoline had so much more drastic effect on my restaurant business than the stimulus check. The average receipt amount has gone 10-15% lower, in addition to a much slower dinner traffic during peak dining hours.

No. The Act would not affect my line of business or any small businesses I know directly, especially in current economic climate. On the other hand, it did affect certain retails for necessary living. Its multiplication effect could affect other connected business indirectly, though it would lost much steam when it reaches 'down stream' businesses. Too little, too late. That's a lot of bs! As a general contractor, the price of materials has gone up so drastically, that the extra pocket change from the government was not even enough to cover the difference. Forget about the stimulus check, just lower the price of gas, and make everything else, from food to construction materials, affordable! Maybe that will stimulate the economy- what a concept! Particularly in retail like clothing, entertainment, and personal goods. |
