Yes. However, it's kind of industry specific. Recently (or ever since Enron), accounting firms really feel the short end accountant supply. On top of that, SOX would eat anyone fresh up from the college. So, to keep productive employees, many of accounting firms, small and large included, begin to set up retirement plan for everybody. So, the story goes.

Still working on that one, and it will be long before I retire anyway I am not sure if my business will be around long enough to substantially fund my retirement. So my answer is no. No. From my own experience, I think most business owners 50 years old or younger have, at the most, a five year outlook. Retirement is probably the last thing on their minds. Perhaps funding their healthcare plan will rank much higher on the list. |
